July 14, 2019 - Today Luz Escamilla went Live on Facebook to announce some upcoming campaign events. The Luz campaign will be launching two separate canvassing events on Saturday July 20 ahead of ballots being mailed the following week.
The first canvassing event will be hosted by Reps. Angela Romero and Sandra Hollins, who both represent Salt Lake City's westside. This event will begin at 9:30 a.m. at Poplar Grove Park, located at 750 S. Emery Street (1170 W.).
The second canvassing event will be hosted by Rep. Jennifer Daily-Provost and former Rep. Rebecca Chavez-Houck targeting the Greater Avenues area. This event will begin at 10:00 a.m. at Lindsey Gardens Park, located at 426 North M Street (800 East).
After canvassing in the morning, join us for a BBQ with Luz hosted by Rep. Sandra Hollins and David Hollins. This is a free event with food, music and will be held in Jackson Park, located at 481 N. Grant Street (740 W.).
Ballots will be mailed on the week of July 22, so we're making a big push before they drop. Join Team Luz as we show how a grassroots campaign can get things done!
